Pin Oak Leaf in Charcoal

Wandering around my garden at the end of winter, I picked up a very elegant leaf that had floated down from my Pin Oak tree. I found it so beautiful and went into the studio immediately to do a very quick drawing of it. It seemed to be a perfect subject for charcoal and I was keen to draw it in such a way that it retained its floating quality. |
