"Eggs in a Box" in Charcoal

Some drawings take time to think about and mature. I made the first drawing of "Eggs in a Box" life size in graphite, had it framed and propped it on a table against a wall for probably 5 years. When I had a break between commissions I began the charcoal drawing, much enlarged. As always it is so often an enriching experience to create a drawing out of an everyday, often unobserved, ordinary subject. |
