Aging Mushrooms on a Black Background
Some mushrooms seem to have a very spongy texture, especially when they are a little past their prime. In considering how best to represent this quality, I decided to paint them on black. I wanted the viewer to look at them and feel that if he were to pick them up, that they would feel spongy and a little sticky to the touch. |
